The Way Things Work

Since the C-19 pandemic my coaching sessions have moved entirely online using the Zoom platform…with great success.

My online sessions are a fun and effective way to learn. Zoom is FREE and easy to use, and the audio/video is high quality. I use two excellent Logitech webcams, professional Sennheiser microphones, a high-quality PreSonus audio interface along with a leading edge Intel computer system – all of which gets to you over a Bell Fibe high-speed direct ethernet connection.

Sessions are private, half-hour in duration, at a regular weekly time. All of my lesson materials are sent to you via email as Adobe .pdf documents that you can easily open and print, and they include links to any music that you might require. All that’s required on your end is a guitar, a computer, a webcam, headphones, maybe a printer, and ideally a strong internet connection.

Over many years of performing, teaching and playing in many different styles I have developed a structured method of coaching that will, in a very short time, reward you with the skills and confidence you need to become a self-sufficient player able to make music with and for others.

Tuition is $24 per half-hour lesson. All of my new students initially commit to ten weeks of sessions ($240) to get signed up. At the end of those ten weeks tuition payment is again due in advance for another round of ten sessions. Confirmation and reservation of your lesson time is done online via Interac E-Transfer prior to the first session.

Lessons are available Monday to Friday from noon-ish to 8:00 pm, and on Saturdays from late morning to late afternoon. I am flexible with shift workers and do not charge any registration fees.

24 hours notice is expected for cancelling and rescheduling lessons, which are always made up either on a different day/time or as a double lesson when convenient. As well, any lessons that I cancel are always made up promptly and at our mutual convenience. Missed lessons cannot be “carried forward” to extend your ten week term and tuition is non-refundable.

Gift certificates are also available – please consider giving the gift of music to a friend!
